Set of 6 Vintage Italian Enamelled & Gilt Ruby Red Glass Goblets, c.1950s
Description:
A fine decorative set of six vintage ruby red glass goblets, likely Italian or Central European, dating to the mid-20th century.
Each goblet is richly enamelled with scrolling foliate designs in turquoise and white, accented with gilded detailing and beaded swags in the late 19th-century Bohemian style. The deep ruby bowls are set above clear stems with gilt knop details and circular feet edged in gold.
This style of glass was popularised in post-war Italy and Czechoslovakia, drawing inspiration from earlier Moser and Venetian designs, and was produced for export and formal table settings.
All six goblets are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Minor wear to the gilding in places, commensurate with age and use.
