About the Item
This is a rare and exceptional 19th century crystal drinks set attributed to Baccarat. The service consists of four matching decanters, a claret jug and a matching water pitcher. Each piece is handblown with diamond point cutting and star cut base. The necks are panel cut with zipper cut embellishment. This was a custom-made service and each example features a central reserve with a beautifully wheel cut engraved monogram with the letters "GS" surrounded by wheel cut engraved leaves. The decanters measure 11.5" tall and 5" in diameter, the claret jug is 12.5" tall, 5" in diameter and the pitcher is 10" tall and 5.25" in diameter.
