About the Item
An 18th century Dutch delft, tin-glazed earthenware deep charger, inspired by Chinese export porcelain and hand-painted in a heavy cobalt blue geometric and floral pattern. A stylized border of a daisy like flower alternating with a geometric pattern is edged with a white rim. Rear footing is pierced for hanging, a glazed verso with a pattern of loose circles on the wide rear rim.
Maker unknown, circa 1750-1780.
Measures: 13.5 in. diameter x 1.75 in. deep.
Very good antique condition, the expected fritting and light nipping to the rim.
