19th Century English Fielding Majolica Oyster Plate
About the Item
A 19th Century English glazed majolica oyster plate with six cream oyster wells surrounding a center well for sauce and with light turquoise blue ground with seaweed relief. A light brown nautical rope border encircles the center well and the outer rim. The verso is glazed with six raised scallop shell shaped feet. Made by Fielding & Co. Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, England. Impressed stamp on the bottom. In good condition with no chips or cracks, light surface wear. Circa 1875-1880.
