Dutch Delft Chinoiserie Kraak Style charger depicting a large dragonfly, in a Chinese garden, sitting on a rock. All within a shaped octagonal border.
The rim with fan-shaped panels depicting motifs of a scroll or lantern on a tassel and ribbon, alternating with fan-shaped floral panels, all separated by narrow panels depicting a ribbon
The reverse with underglaze blue painted O's and X's.
Marked CK for Cornelis Koppens, owner of the famous pottery 'De Metaale Pot' 1724-1757
The dragonfly is a symbol of good luck and prosperity in Chinese culture.
