About the Item

Dutch Delft blue and white 'Peacock' platter, second half 18th century, with ochre rim, the center decorated in cobalt with a vase containing an arrangement of peacock feathers and flowers. The rim decorated with stylized flower heads against a scrolling ground. Marked factory 'The Claauw' or 'De Klaauw', (meaning 'the claw' in Dutch) 1661 - 1840. Fair condition; a reglued chip and filled up chip on the rim. Please examine the pictures. Pairs well with my other Peacock dish that is similar in colors and mark, but has this ons has some restoration, while the other is in good condition. Therefore they are sold separately.
