Dutch Delft blue and white 'Peacock' plate, 18th century, with ochre rim, the center decorated in cobalt with a vase containing an arrangement of peacock feathers and flowers. The rim decorated with stylized flower heads against a scrolling ground. Marked factory 'The Claauw' or 'De Klaauw', (meaning 'the claw' in Dutch). Good condition; light chipping and usual wear to the rim. One larger chip. Including mount for wall suspension (which can easily be removed).
