Delftware Charger with a Parrot, mid 18th century
About the Item
A polychrome charger with a parrot perched on a ring in the center, with interesting asymmetrical landscape elements showing a basis in early 18th century design. The spareness of the composition and the rim with its unusual yellow ground zig zag geometric border are notable.
Good antique condition with typical wear to the rim.
Ca. mid 18th century. No marks.
Combines amazingly with the pair of plates with the similar decor, also in my collection.
