Pair of Delft Blue and White Chargers Made circa 1785

$2,900per set

About

We are pleased to offer this pair of Dutch delft Blue and White chargers showing ducks on a pond and a songbird in flight placed against a naturalistic setting of ferns and sunflowers. The ducks are adorable and seem to be talking to each other about how happy they are to be placed on this beautiful pair of chargers. The tones of cobalt range from the smokey pale blue of the water to the deep blue along the border. The edge of the charger is painted with orange slip. The back of each charger has the mark of De Grieksche A factory (see pg. 153 in "delft Ceramics" by C H de Jonge for a discussion of The "Greek A" Factory and its marks.
