Early 18th century Blue Delftware dish with very crisp 'parsley or mille fleurs' decoration comprising sprays of flowers and birds. Marked: Pieter Gerritsz. Kam, owner of Drie Posteleyne Astonne, 1679-1705 After his passing also used by Widow Kam-van der Kloot, owner of Drie Posteleyne Astonne, 1705-1716 De Drie Postleyne Astonne, a pottery factory in the 17th century in Delft, was founded in 1655 by Jeronimus Pieterszoon van Kessel on the east side of the Lange Geer in Delft. This was the first of four pottery bakeries that would eventually settle at the location. Ready for wall suspension.
