Circa 1920 Set of 10 Iridescent Dinner Plates
About the Item
Set of 10 FABULOUS dinner plates by Epiage Pirken Hammer. I have never seen another piece of this extraordinary porcelain. The wide and textured gold border is absolutely wonderful and is surrounds an iridescent glazed center, which is reminiscent of luxurious pearls. This set was made for Patsy Newhouse, who was a very well known artist and painter of china in Grand Rapids Michigan in the early 20th century. She studied in Buffalo, Chicago, Detroit and Milwaukee and students from all over the United States came to study under her. This is one of the wonderful patterns she designed and had made by Pirken Hammer in Czechoslovakia. We feel very fortunate to have a set of 10 plates, as they are hard to find. Plate stands not included.
