Rare Heinrich & Co. Selb Floral Gold Encrusted Service Cabinet Plates Set of 11
About the Item
H&Co, Heinrich & Co., Selb, Bavaria, Germany, circa 1930-1939. (Source: Marks on German, Bohemian, and Austrian Porcelain, by Rontgen, page 156). Though not marked Pickard, it appears these plates were most likely decorated by the Pickard Studios in Chicago. The plates feature a floral center surrounded by green and floral band as well as gold encrusted band.
Pickard was famous for its elegant AOG (all-over-gold) etched gold encrusted patterns. The design on the outer rim of these plates is the well-known rose and daisy pattern by Pickard.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Very good condition considering their age. Normal wear as well minimal gold loss. The gold loss is only visible when you are looking for it. One plate has an area with a tiny dark line. One has an area where the vine is faded. Please see photos.
