About the Item

An assembled set of six Sarreguemines French faïence, majolica plates, each showing a different fruit on an ochre yellow ground of overlapping leaves, circa 1930s. This group shows images of the apple, strawberry, cherry, plum, pear, and grapes. The shaped rims follow the leaf form. A classic and charming mold. Glazed by hand, each plate varies in intensity of color. Showing both impressed and printed marks: Sarreguimines. 7.5 in. Diameter x 1 in. H In very good vintage condition. The strawberry plate has a small glazed over dip to the rim, in the making. This is Set A, we may have another set of six in stock if you are looking for a service for twelve.
