About the Item
This set of four Art Deco dinner or desert plates is distinctive. There is a sophistication and modern elegance about this set! You are unlikely to see them coming-and-going.
They are finely made in a crisp-white French porcelain with a soft, graceful scalloped edge. Each plate is designed with a slight lip, rather than being completely flat, in order to contain any sauce that may be served. Each image is unique -- no repeats, with a classically 'Deco' female silhouette. Each plate is signed by the artist. See image included.
As indicated in one of the photos above, there is a very tiny chip on the back of only one plate. This chip is not visible from the front of the plate, and is so tiny that it is easily overlooked.

This vintage china service from the 1950s was made especially for Pan Am World Airways in Japan by Noritake. It was used on the iconic airline's trans-Atlantic flights in the 1950's, for First-Class passengers traveling from New York to London and Paris. Each piece is an off-white bone china, rimmed in 18-carat gold.
This collection is archetypal MCM in its design, and still projects an aura of what the Golden Age of jet travel was like. Each piece is in mint condition! A rare and treasured find, indeed, with an ample number of pieces for a dinner service of eight.
