An Antique Light Baluster Wine Glass, c1740 All things considered this remains a stunning wine glass, tall and elegant and a fine example of the genre Additional information: Period : George II 1730-50 Origin : England Colour : Clear Bowl : Bell shaped, good pucella marks Stem : A disc collar above a plain stem section. A ball and three ring anulated knop Foot : High conical Pontil : Snapped Glass Type : Lead Size : H 18.3 cm Diameter bowl : 8.3 cm Diameter foot: 8.1 cm Condition : Very good no chips or cracks. The foot is a little irregular, the 'diameter' varies from 8.0 to 7.8cms. There is some natural wear but overall this and the foot dimensions indicate that this has been polished
