About the Item
Circa 1920s, attributed Austria. These sublime, amazingly tall (11 3/4 inches) crystal water goblets, with their dramatic Art Deco silhouette and intricately-cut design, set a spectacular table. They are of the highest quality, with details that are well-laid-out and sharply executed. Balanced and comfortable to hold, these glasses are great for water, perfect for wine, and a pleasure to drink from. Excellent condition.
Remark: “Art Deco has a freshness to its style that is both sophisticated and naïve simultaneously. It is the last major aesthetic movement of the old world and the first of the new.”
