Art Deco Czech Geometric Crystal Glass Decanter Set by Karel Palda, circa 1930s

About the Item

Extremely stylish Art Deco 1930s crystal glass decanter set which comes with six matching glasses and decanter with stopper, the whole being heavily enameled with geometric floral decoration. Made and designed by Karl Palda in the 1930s by the Haida-Steinschönau Glass School, Bohemia. Karel Palda worked in Haida from 1887-1945. Top glassmaking products came from Haida. Made of heavy hand blown lead crystal, hand-sanded with a beautiful black solder painting, the relatively large glasses with 9-faceted, solid crystal base. The condition is great with just minor signs of age, odd little marks here and there but absolutely no damage, all are free from chips, nibbles etc. This set oozes quality and we know the new lucky owner will be nothing less than absolutely delighted with it. It is by far one of the best decanter sets we've ever come across. Good size glasses for modern day use, ideal barware for your cocktail cabinet.
