About the Item
Art Deco glass David Gueron
signed by Degue
design by Edouard Cazaux,
circa 1930 origin France
perfect condition.
He first created the Compiègne glassworks in the early 1920s, before specializing in luxury glassware.
He manufactures, on the Boulevard Malesherbes in Paris, mainly art deco chandeliers and vases, using a whole range of colors, without hesitating to plagiarize the Lorraine productions of Daum, the Muller brothers and, above all, Charles Schneider, with whom I would have had legal problems. David Guéron was imprisoned at the beginning of August 1936 in Compiègne for having sold goods (from the glass factory that had been bankrupt for many months) confiscated by the finance administration.
His productions signed by Degué are today sought after by lovers of Art Nouveau and Art Deco style glassware.
