Baccarat Enameled Opaline Glass Jardinieres Cachepots / Vases

About the Item

Our exceptionally rare pair of opaline jardinieres attributed to Baccarat are distinguished by their extensive enameling and finely painted neoclassical designs including maidens with cupid, putti at a fountain and Roman ruins, plus finely painted blue and deep red colors at the waist and base, and gilding at the rim, base and waist. Apparently unsigned, not uncommonly for Baccarat opaline pieces of this kind from the 19th century. Each in good condition. One with noticeable hairlines visible at the underside.
