Heading : Rare colour twist Georgian wine glass Period : George II / George III c1765 Origin : England Colour : Clear Bowl : Large bell Stem : A white enamel thread alongside a two-ply red spiral tape outwith a blue edged multi-ply corkscrew. Foot : Conical Pontil : Snapped Glass Type : Lead Size : 15.5cm height, 7.2cm diameter bowl, 7.6cm diameter foot Condition : Excellent, no chips or cracks Restoration : Excellent Weight: 178 grams In Arthur Churchill's Glass Notes no. 10 glasses with combined opque white and colour twist stems account for 56.4% of all mixed and colour twist stems. Of the 87 mentioned there are only three of this specific colourway and form Nos. 26, 30, and 31. Rare is a justified adjective.
