Franz Welz Pair of Czech / Bohemian Orange & Black Tango Glass Vases

About the Item

A superb pair of Czech / Bohemian bright orange blown glass vases with applied black glass rims. Made by the Franz Welz factory. Identified as a Welz shape in the Welz Facebook group. Known as "mono-coloured" or "tango" glass, this technique was developed by Loetz around 1914. Size Measure approx 6.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point. Condition Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a manufacturing dimple flaw to the underneath side of the rim on both vases, shown in final pictures.
