About the Item

Showcase and protect your treasured objects with this unique glass dome from France. Dating to the late 19th century, cloche displays like this shielded portico clocks or flora & fauna specimens from dust, soot, and insects while remaining totally visible on all sides. The arched-shape bell of glass fits snugly into an ebonized wooden base with subtle pinstriping, lifted on bracket feet at the front and round feet on the back. Please view the detailed images to see more, and the current condition as there is a small chip on the platform of the base. Base height: 2 ½” Dome height: 20 ¼”
