About the Item

French, 19th century handmade glass pitcher from the Normandy region, likely used for cider as Calvados (the apple brandy) is made in the same region. The heavy glass vessel uses an elegant spout for pouring, balanced by a solid handle with gorgeous contour, curves that are repeated in the two rows of ribbed texture encircling the conical form. Eye-catching as a decorative accessory on its own, this antique pitcher would be lovely on a table or counter with a fresh bouquet of flowers when not serving juices and other beverages.
