French Art Nouveau Emile Gallé small cameo vase depicting flowers in reds over orange, with fine internal polishing to highlight the red in the daises, (this is sometimes called window pane technique one of the more complex techniques Galle employed -requiring the inside layer to be rubbed away with acid -see image 6 -it’s rare to find this technique used especially on such a relatively narrow necked vase -as access would be limited) Signed (Provost Mark IV c1920 see last picture for dating chart) Emile Gallé was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding members of the Ecole de Nancy.
