Gino Cenedese Attributed Murano Scavo Twin Handled Art Glass Vase
About the Item
A very stylish midcentury Italian Murano Scavo (excavated) art glass twin handled vase attributed to Gino Cenedese (Italian, 1907-1973) and dating from around 1960. The vase of bottle or flask shape with applied handles to either side is hand blown in an opaque white glass with blue glass handles and is fired with a surface residue imitating early excavated Roman glass. The vase has a tall neck with small everted rim and with the round onion shaped body with a recessed base with a red foil label attached. The vase is not otherwise marked.
Provenance: acquired in the UK Art Market.
In good original condition with light wear associated with age and use.
