LARGE Sanyu Japanese Knobbly Pink & Blue Glass Vintage Bowl
About the Item
Here is a chunky and very heavy (2kg unpacked) organic glass knobbly bowl. Made in Japan, circa 1970's, by the Sanyu factory. Identified by a labelled example in the Japanese Glass Facebook group. In a stunning combination of pink and blue encased in clear glass. Large ground and polished pontil mark to base.
Please note: the plastic stand is for display purposes only and is not included.
Size
Measures approx 4.25 inches tall by 9.75 inches in diameter at widest point.
Condition
Has a couple of flake nibbles to the base rim, and a tiny manufacturing indent flaw to the top rim, all shown in final pictures.
