Loetz Witwe Blue Glass Bowl Decor Papillon Iriscident, Bohemia, circa 1936

About the Item

Rare blue glass bowl with handles from the world renown bohemian glass art manufactory of Johann Loetz Witwe circa 1936, decor Papillon variation, design attributed to the famous Czech painter and glass artist Marie Kirschner. Cobalt blue underlaying, colorless covering layer, melted splashes in silver-yellow, reduced and iricised makes this lovely glass bowl a truly unique piece of bohemian glass art. The unusual iriscident applied "silberiris" handles in yellow/gold finalize the exceptional look of this 20th century glass bowl from Loetz Witwe.
