Murano Vase - Stand Alone Glass Sculpture - Sommerso glass
decorative object for you living room, green glass accent , vase with a vertical porthole where you can fit flowers
Large and heavy glass vase in "Sommerso" glass. The peculiar technique, translating to "submerged", consists in joining two layers of different colours glass, so that one looks to be absorbed by the other. In this case, the two colours are green for the core and clear/crystal for the outer layer.
The green glass portions will merge with the clear bottom part creating many little drops of color that gives ti this glass an extreme beauty and reflections .
The piece is fluid, and is an abstract sculpture in its own right beside being an actual vase. It is preserved in very good original conditions, with minor scratches/hairlines and the expectable patina of a four decades old object.
