Heading : An Orange Order Engraved Glass Goblet Period : Victoria Origin : England or Ireland Colour : Clear Bowl : Lipped round funnel. Engarved with a band of fruiting vines above a cartouche or thistles and roses ( note the absence of shamrocks) with monogram JH. Opposite two hands clasped in greeting below "MAID OF ERIN LODGE 517" Stem : Slice cut with large blade merese , angular knop and cushion Foot : Undercut radial Glass Type : Lead Size : Height 17.5cm, bowl 10.5 and foot 10.3 Condition : Excellent Restoration : None Weight: 518g References : Lanes Masonic records show that lodge 519 was never known as Erin or Maid or Erin. The Orange Order have confirmed that there was an Lodge bearing this name.
