Pair of Stevens & Williams "Jade Green" Classical Form 12" Candlesticks

About the Item

This wonderful pair of hand blown candlesticks was made by Stevens and Williams or Steuben in the transitional period while Frederick Carder was moving to Corning Glass Works to become the new director. The color is rich and deep and looks to be a Steuben color but either way, these are fabulous. Dark translucent and jewel-like, the color certainly evokes Imperial jade! The clean lines and classical form are combined with a base which is wide and stable and they are the perfect height of 12". Whichever the maker, they speak for themselves, masterfully blown, practical and highly decorative!
