About the Item

A superb, large and heavy (1.4kg unpacked) 1930's/40's Bohemian / Czech red, yellow and black twin handled blown glass vase in a flame or fire pattern, made using a technique known as "spatter" or "splatter" glass. Attributed to Rückl, according to several online sources, and the book "Collectible Bohemian Glass, Vol II, 1915 - 1945" by Robert & Deborah Truitt. Page 75 shows a Rückl catalogue page from around 1931, which identifies this decor as Orange Shimmy Pfau (Decor 329). Size Measures approx 7 inches tall by 8 inches in diameter at widest point. Condition Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just some wear to the frosted satin finish, where the glass looks shiny instead of frosted (possibly a flaw from manufacture) see final pictures. Looking at other examples online this seems to be very common for this range.
