About the Item
Rare and unique set of 10 handmade Murano glass flutes in deep amber fume color.
These elegant flutes are a masterpiece of craftsmanship, created by one of the most renowned glassmakers of the time, Amelio Cenedese. Each glass features a trumpet-shaped foot, which is a signature of Cenedese and Murano, a drinking cup hand-opened, three hand-applied blown spheres on the stem with buttons of glass to separate them, and slight variations in the fume color.
Technical note: the drinking cup has the puntello (punty) detachment in the inside bottom. Showing that it's completely handmade and Murano sophisticated technique.
Pristine condition, never used or shipped.

Note: The fume color is a traditional Murano glassmaking technique that is difficult to achieve today. It is created by reducing the oxygen input to the furnace, which creates a smoky atmosphere that gives the glass a deep amber color. The slight variations in color from piece to piece add to the uniqueness of this set.
