A very fine set of 4 Venini glass plates. Design attributed to Pierre Cardin. The group comprising 4 thick, square glass plates with rounded corners and a large red or white dot to each center. Designed ca. 1970. These plates issued in the 1980's. Signed to the side with an etched: venini italia. Simply wonderful Modernist design by Cardin & Venini! Date: 20th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Condition Details: There are some fine and light spots of scuffing here and there. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Pierre Cardin for Venini Glass Marks: Marked to the side of each for venini / italian Measurements: Width: ca. 7 in. Depth: ca. 7 in. Height: ca. 3/8 in.
