Bowl : Bucket - engraved with a cartouche containing the mongram HJ and 'Alston.' This is surrounded by a flowering rose and a thistle. To the reverse is engraved a bunch of grapes on the vine.
Stem : Large hollow ball knop containing an 1843 three pence piece.
Foot : Conical
Pontil : Snapped
