About the Item

A fine 1950's zanfirico lattimo plate. By Venini & Co. Attributed to Paolo Venini or Fulvio Bianconi. Of a low bowl or plate form with a slightly raised center. With alternating white lattice, white spiral, and teal and white zanfirico canes. Acid stamped to the base: venini / murano / italia Dates to the 1950s. Simply a wonderful Venini design! For reference please see the zanfirico fazzoletto (handkerchief bowls) by Venini and Bianconi in the Olnick Spanu Collection of Murano Glass. Date: Mid-20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are small open bubbles on the surface from in the making. Otherwise, there are a few fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
