Here is a rare and very Large late 19th Century Murano Gold Glass Hand Painted Italian Apothecary Jar. Translated to "Ancient Pharmacy of the Discalced Carmelites Dulcam". A large pharmacy jar used by the Order of the Discalced Carmelites of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, a sect of catholic friars and nuns founded in 1562. The jar is labeled Dulcam, which translates to “Sweets” Overall good condition with wear consistent with age and use This large jar measures approx. 24”H (with lid) x 8.5”W
