About the Item

Vicke Lindstrand (1904–1983) was a pioneering Swedish designer, known primarily for his glass art. He began his career in commercial illustration before joining Orrefors in 1928, where his work helped redefine Swedish glass. After a wartime departure from Orrefors, he became the creative head at Uppsala-Ekeby and later served as artistic director at Kosta Glasbruk for over two decades. Lindstrand’s work, now highly collectible, is held in major museums worldwide, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and The Museum of Modern Art in New York. This set of glass bowls would have been poured into hand-carved molds, giving them their rich surface texture. 4 1/4″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep x 2 1/2″ high 6 3/4″ wide x 5″ deep x 3″ high 10 1/2″ wide x 5″ deep x 3 3/4″ high
