    An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Dutch silver biscuit box; an addition to the ornamental silverware collection. This exceptional antique Dutch silver biscuit box has circular form. The body of the box is plain and encompassed with a band of applied reed decoration to the lower rim. This biscuit box retains the original hallmarked hinged cover ornamented with further applied reed decoration to the upper and lower rims.     Elaborate figural Egyptian Revival Victorian biscuit jar made by Mappin & Webb during the 19th century. This highly stylized piece features a winged sphinx with an Egyptian head piece finial. The piece is heavily engraved and has 4 four plaques that can be personalized. The bottom edge interior and outer edge is beaded and it stands on four stylized claw feet. The bottom is stamped with an early Mappin & Webb hallmark along with W 16 and some etched handwritten numbers as well. A truly spectacular piece that would be a wonderful addition to your home.
