This is an antique breakfast set. An English, silver toast rack and Scottish tongs, dating to the Regency period and later, hallmarked 1815 and 1918.
Wonderfully presented set, ideal for the breakfast table
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Hallmarked silver presents beautifully, with bright reflective tones
Both pleasingly tactile, carefully polished and free of tarnishing
Four slice rack, with an elegant spade shaped handle
The elongated toast tongs with shell motif, further engraved with the monogram 'AG'
Assayed in Edinburgh, the Mitchell & Russell tongs bear the date code 'J' for 1815
The rack - by Jon & William Deakin bears the Sheffield hallmark and date code 'A' for 1918
This is an endearing antique breakfast set, sure to add a dash of elegance to serving morning toast. Delivered polished and ready to enjoy.
