Art Deco Machine Age sunbeam T-9 toaster iconic patented complete breakfast set Modernist Streamline Industrial Design Another of the original Classic American Industrial Modernist re-designs of utilitarian objects for every-man. Allegedly Sunbeam's most prolific selling toaster. Patent # US2271485A, 1939, for the Chicago Flexible Shaft Co. (Sunbeam) by Ludvik J Koci. Frequently attributed to a case design by George Scharfenberg (as Sunbeam's Chief Designer who collaborated with Koci) and featuring the Alfonso Iannelli etched skyscraper design, in his Classic take on the New York World's Fair motif. Streamline chromed-metal and Bakelite design. Complete with original glass condiment insert (also featuring the Iannelli motif) in the original metal tray. Featured in several Modernist Museum collections without the tray and insert, including the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. Toaster cleaned, lubricated, original cord.
