George 111 Silver Strainer, London 1774, William Plummer. The strainer of usual form, pierced bowl, foliate shaped handles, engraved with the crest of an oak tree fructed and penetrated transversely by a frame saw and motto above `Through’ – crest and motto for Hamilton (Ref Fairbairn’s p252). Length: 7 ½ inches. Weight: 2.25 oz. Full clear hallmarks to underside.
