About the Item

Original vintage Danish Raadvad bread slicer in a rare matte silver colored version with dark wooden board! Manufactured by the famous Danish Company RAADVAD. It is the model 294 which was designed by Ove Larsen in the 1930s and which has become a Danish design icon. This special edition of model 294 is from ca 1980s and has a board of mahogany or cherry wood. Very stylish! Raadvad is a reputable Danish company established in 1759, well known for their high quality kitchen equipment. They started making bread slicers in 1924 and developed the model 294 in the 1930s. It was in production until the 1990s and changed only a little during the 60 years. The company still exists. The bread slicer is fully functional for slicing rye bread or other types of firm bread and is at the same time very decorative. The thickness of the slices can be adjusted with the screw on front. A very special item in very good used condition with only few signs from age and use. The blade is sharp. Fully functional.
