A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing shaped arches accented with simplified floral motifs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied ribbed border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged subtly domed cover surmounted with an impressive scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is embellished with pin struck decoration emanating from the centre in addition to a wriggle work stylised floral design. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an S-scroll handle ornamented with scrolling terminals and thumbpiece. The mustard pot is fitted with a removable blue glass liner. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot made by Edward & John Barnard; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing scrolling leaf designs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied bead decorated border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged domed cover surmounted with an impressive interlacing tri-lobed thumbpiece. This antique piece is fitted with an opposing scroll handle ornamented with a plain scrolling thumbpiece. The mustard pot retains the original removable blue glass liner. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to the interior of cover are all very clear; the maker's mark to the interior of the cover have wear in keeping with age.
