19th century French Hand Painted Ceramic Barbotine Pig Pitcher

About the Item

Beautiful hand painted water pitcher in Barbotine Ceramic from the northern France, from the 1880s. This pitcher is called "maitre d'hotel" features a pig dressed as a waiter and seated on a chair. Is holding a glass in his hand and has a towel on his arm. Perfect condition. From the Onnaing Faiencerie. Numered and stamped on the bottom.
