Antique Jugendstil Decanter in Green Glass and Pewter, 1910s

About the Item

A rare beautiful decanter in green hand-blown glass. Decorated with hand-set/fitted with panels of hammered pewter. Original stopper in pewter and cork. Distinct Danish Jugendstil - art nouveau styling reminiscent of Thorvald Bindesbøll and Mogens Balling.. Made in Denmark circa 1910-20 by either Holmegaard or Kastrup glasværk. Measurements: H: 23.5 cm, W/Dept: 9.5 cm. Capacity circa 0.7 liter.
