Amazingly bright detailed painted terracotta jug by the Ferdinand Gerbing Werke factory from circa 1850-1860. Very pretty bright red-orange painted terracotta jug representing a hunting theme, with a whippet dog forming the handle. The hunting game; birds, hares, a sheep and foliage hangs as decoration around the body of this German pitcher.
