Kenji Fujita for Freeman Lederman. Large modernist jug in white glazed ceramics with a rattan handle. Mid-20th century. Measures: 27 x 17.5 cm. In excellent condition. Stamped. Ceramics manufacturer in California. Founded in 1950 by David W. Lederman and William B. Freeman. Early productions included whimsical clay pieces designed by various artists.The firm subsequently found a niche selling porcelain kitchen and household wares made in Japan and designed locally by Lagardo Tackett and, later, his student, Kenji Fujita. Represented at The British Museum.
