About the Item

A fine American Brilliant Period pitcher. In cut glass. By Hawkes. In a rare, tall pitcher form in the Jubilee pattern. With fans, diamond point hatching, stars, and russian cane diamonds with stars. The cane pattern is the same as that in the Hawkes Cairo Pattern. Bearing an acid-etched mark under the handle. Simply a wonderful, large-sized pitcher! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are a few small spots of fritting to the top edge. There is one noticeable scratch to the inside near the top of the handle, and there are a few typical small overshot cuts to the otherwise undecorated sections and plain facets where the engraver overshot the engraved fields. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Hawkes Pattern Name: Jubilee Marks: Acid-etched factory mark.
