A rare and striking three-piece silver plated service set by Los Fajardo, crafted in Taxco, Mexico, during the 1960s. This sculptural ensemble includes a water pitcher, creamer, and lidded sugar pot, each masterfully hand-hammered in silver plate and adorned with exuberant parrot handles and finials. The parrots are richly inlaid with luminous abalone shell and detailed with brass beaks, creating a vivid contrast of texture and color.
The water pitcher measures 10" high × 6.5" wide × 5.25" diameter; the creamer 5" high × 5" wide × 2.75" diameter; and the covered sugar pot 4.75" high × 5" wide × 3.5" diameter. Each piece retains the Los Fajardo hallmark stamped Fajardo, Mexico, Silver-plated.
This set embodies the bold modernist spirit of mid-20th-century Taxco silver design, drawing comparisons to the work of Los Castillo and Emilia Castillo, yet retaining its own distinctive style.
