A fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver helmet shaped creamer made by Peter and Ann Bateman, an addition to our Georgian silver teaware collection.
This fine antique George III sterling silver cream jug has a helmet shaped form onto a pedestal with a circular spreading foot and plain square base.
The upper portion of the body is ornamented with a broad band of bright cut engraved irregular undulating decoration.
The body of the jug is embellished with a pin struck and bright cut engraved decorated shield shaped vacant cartouche suspended from a stylized ribbon design.
The rim of the body is encompassed with an applied reed decorated border.
He surface of the square base is embellished with further bright cut engraved and pin struck leaf motifs and simple paralleling border.
This fine example of Georgian silverware is fitted with a narrow loop handle ornamented with plain applied molded decoration.

An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Georgian English sterling silver chalice; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware.
This exceptional antique George III sterling silver gilt chalice cup has a plain bell shaped form onto a waisted knopped stem and octofoil domed spreading foot.
The drinking vessel of this example of Georgian silverware is plain and unembellished, apart from the hallmarks to the lower portion.
The knop to the upper portion of the stem is embellished with an embossed leaf and shell designs, above a band of grape clusters and simplified vine ornamentation.
The paneled stem of the chalice is embellished with segments of chased textures and terminate with further leaf ornamentation to the lower bulbous knop.
The upper portion of the large and impressive foot is embellished with a shaped band of chased wheat stalks and further fruiting vine designs, all on a matte background.
The foot is further ornamented with large scrolling designs segmented with tiered leaf motifs and incorporating four shaped cartouches; three cartouche remain vacant and the fourth bears a simplified engraved cross.

This magnificent antique George I Britannia standard silver spirit kettle has a plain rounded bulbous form, in the antique Queen Anne style.
The surface of this large spirit kettle is plain and encircled with bands of applied moulded decoration; the piece has been hand raised and bears the attractive, subtle appearance of the silversmiths Hammer marks.
This antique silver spirit kettle is fitted with a plain domed, hallmarked bayonet cover, surmounted with the original carved wood and Britannia silver finial, securing to the interior with a screw fitment.
This Fine example of Georgian teaware is fitted with a hinged scrolling handle with the original central carved wood baluster handpiece; the hinge incorporates a stopper to prevent the handpiece from embracing the body of the kettle.
